Day 676: Brusho Galaxy.

It’s a quiet planning day today so I packed up a selection of Activity Boxes and projects that need to be done. I then did a load of tidying up in the craft room before settling down to read Twilight by Stephanie Meyer again.

I did most of this piece with Brusho but then added some extra spots for stars and dust particles in the cloud. This piece even though its small took me a while to construct as it was a layering piece as I layered each colour of the main background.

Materials:

  • Brusho Purple.
  • Brusho Black.
  • Brusho Turquoise.
  • Brusho Ultramarine.
  • Brusho Emerald.
  • Paint Brush.
  • Zebra Pastel Doodlerz.
  • Tissues.
  • Spray bottle.
  • Pippet.
  • Mixed media Card.

Method:

  1. Lay the card down on a flat surface.
  2. Sprinkle some Turquoise Brusho onto the card and spray with the water mister.
  3. Leave for a few minuets and lay some tissue on the card or at the edge of the card to absorb the water.
  4. Repeat step 2-3 with each colour except black in a different section of the card.
  5. Sprinkle some black on the edge of the card and spray with water before lifting off straight away.
  6. Mix some black Brusho with a drop of water to make black ink.
  7. Use the paint brush with the Black ink to layer the outline of the card leaving uneven dark clouds.
  8. Leave to dry.
  9. Using the Zebra pens draw spots in the sky in different colours to represent dust particles and stars (I used Orange, White, and Purple pens on this piece)
